Jay (she/they pronouns) is a first-year Master of Social Work student at UNC-Chapel Hill. Originally from the Bay Area, California, she received a BA in English from Bryn Mawr College, where she studied immigrant narratives and facilitated spaces for LGBTQIA+ individuals. Jay has held a number of jobs, including one at a Farmstand in Philadelphia where she sold cheese and had the remarkable experience of handling an entire wheel of aged gouda, and another as Program Coordinator with the Robertson Scholars at Duke University. She has called the Triangle home for the last two years and is dedicated to serving this community.
