We celebrate Asexual and Aromantic Awareness Day as our campus observance of  Asexual Awareness Week, an international campaign that seeks to educate about asexual, aromantic, demisexual, and grey-asexual experiences and to create materials that are accessible to our community and our allies around the world. (


Pride and Visibility by The Pit

11:00am - 1:00pm in front of Lenoir Dining Hall

Join the LGBTQ Center Ambassadors as we celebrate Asexual and Aromantic history, community, culture, and people! Take a photo with the Ace/Aro Flag, win candy or prizes for answering a trivia question about the Ace/Aro Spectrum from the Ally Wheel, learn about influential Ace/Aro people, grab some swag, or just stop by to chat between classes.


"Ace Up Your Sleeve" Playing Card-themed Social

6:00pm - 8:00pm in Cobb Game Room.

If you identify as part of the Asexual/Aromantic community, you and your affirming loved ones are invited to join us in celebrating Asexual and Aromantic Pride at our "Ace Up Your Sleeve" social. Play card games, pose with playing card themed props, or have a piece of our specially designed Ace/Aro pride cake. The Center will provide free dinner. Meet new people or hang out in the introvert corner! 


Asexual and Aromantic Pride and Visibility is one of many Pride and Visibility Days observed by the LGBTQ Center at UNC-Chapel Hill.
