The 2016-2017 Lavender Graduation Ceremony was held on a beautiful Sunday, one week before the University Commencement Ceremony. Graduating undergraduate, graduate, and professional students who identify as part of the broad LGBTIQA community, or as allies, were honored with speeches by Center Director Dr. Terri Phoenix, Chancellor Carol L. Folt, Keynote Speaker Nebula Li, J.D., and Associate Professor Dr. Karen Booth. Sherah Faulkner gave a moving introduction of the Advocacy Awards Recipients, Cèsar Rodriguiz and Stephen Krueger.

The Ceremony was followed by a reception and live music by University Alums Gabriel Pelli (‘98), Casey Toll ('08), and Dave Smith ('86).

Center staff would like to add a special congratulations to our graduating student staff members, Rebecca Hoffman and Savannah Peters - we will miss you!
