LGBTQ Center Now Hiring for Program Assistant Work-Study Positions

Applications received before Sunday, August 20th at 11:59pm will receive priority consideration.

The LGBTQ Center has openings for Federal Work Study employees.  Students who receive Work Study as a part of their financial aid award are eligible to apply.  We rely heavily on our Work Study employees to accomplish the work of the LGBTQ Center and to supplement staff coverage in the office.  Additionally, we aim to provide a safe and inclusive space for students to work. We value diversity and a broad range of perspectives and encourage people from marginalized backgrounds to apply.

The LGBTQ Center Work Study position provides administrative, clerical and programming support.  These tasks include filing, word processing, researching, organizing office documents and interacting with office constituents.  Work Study students also develop and oversee office programs with the guidance of the Assistant Director.  Preference is given to students who can work a minimum of 10 hours per week and have experience and/or knowledge of LGBTQ issues.  The work schedule can be negotiated around class schedules, but generally includes daytime hours, 9 to 6, Monday through Friday.
