Song has always given us a place to express, heal, and empower our spirits. Church and faith, although a place to voice the beauty of music, has often been unwelcoming to queer people. The LGBTQ Center invites you to join us on September 22nd from 5:00 to 6:30 PM to bring music, song, and healing, back to a queer place! Special guest Adaline will be joining us for an evening filled with music and reflections on LGBTQIA+ intersections with spirituality. Attendees are also invited to bring their own instruments to participate in the jam session!
A successful and prolific composer of music for film and television, the Canadian-born now Los Angeles-based Adaline has had music licensed in more than 90 scenes including multiple songs on Grey’s Anatomy, 90210, Tiny Pretty Things, Lost Girl, Below Her Mouth, Wynonna Earp and The Samaritan starring Samuel L. Jackson. She also collaborated on the score for the Bret Easton Ellis written film The Canyons with Brendan Canning of Broken Social Scene.
