Black History Month 2023

February 8, 2023
Categories:

Black and LGBTQ+ history is deeply entwined, with several LGBTQ+ movements and spaces being supported, organized, and heralded by Black figures who live at the intersections of these identities.  This February, the LGBTQ Center is honoring Black icons of the past, as well as those who are carving a path toward the future.  Join us on social media as we highlight and amplify the voices of the leaders, creators, advocates, and activists that have shaped who we are today.

On this page, we have compiled a list of events at UNC that are part of Black History Month 2023. We have also assembled a list of on-campus organizations for BIPOC students who are seeking spaces of safety and community. If you would like to add or remove an event or organization, or if there is an error in this listing, please send us an email at [email protected].
