The LGBTQ Center is staffed by three full-time professional staff members, one part-time graduate assistant, and undergraduate student employees.

Jamillae Stockett, MPH
My name is Jamillae Stockett. My pronouns are She, Her, and Hers. I am originally from the Midwest by way of Ohio. I am a U.S. Air Force Veteran. I moved to North Carolina in the mid-90’s with my family and immediately fell in love with North Carolina, more specifically the people, the culture, and the history. I completed my bachelor’s degree in health education and received an MPH from Walden University. I am very excited to be a part of the UNC family! I am excited to learn and grow with the campus and community!!

Andrew Prevatte
Andrew Prevatte (they/them), a lifelong North Carolinian, is happy to be back in the Carolina community after graduating in 2020 from undergrad with degrees in Biology and Women’s & Gender Studies. When not on campus, Andrew likes working in the Max/MSP music programming language, doing jigsaw puzzles with their partner, and dodging bites from their cat Moose.

Andréa Kaniuka, PhD
Andréa Kaniuka (she/her) joined the UNC LGBTQ Center in Spring 2025. She was born and raised in North Carolina and is a proud alumna of UNC Wilmington (undergraduate) and UNC Charlotte (PhD in Public Health Sciences). Outside of work, you can find Andréa working out at the Pilates or dance studio and spending time with her partner and their two pit bulls, Moose and Benji.
