Undergraduate Students
The LGBTQ Center hosts educational and social programs throughout each academic year to support undergraduate students to aid in their academic success and to build community.
Book Club
The LGBTQ Center Book Club is a twice-monthly meeting of lit nerds and casual readers who love to discuss books, fanfic, and other readings with LGBTQIA+ themes.
Center After Dark
Join the LGBTQ Center Ambassadors and other LGBTIQA+ or allied students for games, movies, crafts, and discussions. Meet us every other Wednesday via Zoom to reconnect with friends or to make new ones!
Lavender Graduation
Lavender Graduation is a commencement ceremony honoring graduating LGBTIQA+ and allied students. It is a cultural celebration that acknowledges the achievements and contributions that students of all sexual orientations, gender identities, and gender expressions have made at Carolina. Recipients of the LGBTIQA+ Advocacy Awards are announced during the ceremony.
This program is co-sponsored by the Program in Sexuality Studies and the Provost Committee for LGBTQ Life.
Pride and Awareness Days
The Center participates in a number of annual pride and visibility observances that uplift LGBTIQA+ identities. We celebrate some of these identities on different dates than their national and international observances as needed to make them more accessible to the Carolina community.
