CAPS + (In, Out and In Between: A Gender and Sexuality Spectrum Group)

CAPS (Counseling and Psychological Services) staff is strongly committed to addressing the mental health needs of a diverse student body through timely access to consultation and connection to clinically appropriate services.

The In, Out and In Between: A Gender & Sexuality Spectrum Group, is a group therapy experience offered to UNC students and post-docs. This group welcomes all folks on the LGBTQIA+ spectrum and those who are questioning. The purpose of this group is to foster connection and provide members with an affirming space. In the past, this group has discussed relationships, family, intersectional identity, coming out, spirituality and other areas of life that may feel difficult to discuss elsewhere.

If you join us in the chat room, we are happy to answer more questions about this group, or any general questions about CAPS etc.
