Health Sciences LGBTQ Alliance
The Health Sciences Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer (LGBTQ) Alliance is an association of students, faculty, and staff from the schools of the health sciences (Dentistry, Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, Public Health, and Social Work) working to promote the health and well-being of people in LGBTQ communities. The Alliance works to increase training and exposure of Health Sciences students to the concerns of LGBTQ people by sponsoring speakers, panels, and conferences at these schools throughout UNC-Chapel Hill. Kenan-Flagler Business School Pride Club
The KFBS Pride Club was established in order to:
- Foster a positive environment
- Build a social and professional network for GLBT students and straight allies
- Create opportunities for discussion and interaction in the Kenan-Flagler community to address GLBT issues
- Facilitate networking opportunities among students and alumni, with students at other business schools, and with professionals in the GLBT community
Lambda Law Students Association
The Lambda Law Students Association seeks to educate the Carolina Law community about the legal, political, and social issues facing the gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and questioning community.
School of Information & Library Sciences - Checked OUT
Checked OUT provides diverse populations and groups, including LGBTQ-identified students and allies, with the opportunity to attend professional and social programs dealing with issues of sexual identity and other forms of diversity in LIS. We also work with groups and faculty members across campus to facilitate communication about events and other information related to diversity concerns in SILS.
School of Medicine - Queer Straight Alliance
The Queer Straight Alliance is composed of faculty, administrators, and students of UNC's School of Medicine. Through interactions with the School of Medicine and other UNC Health Schools, we seek to better educate our classmates and ourselves on issues faced by LGBT patients in seeking health care.
School of Dentistry - LGBdenT
LGBdenT is a community of individuals at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Dentistry. Our goal is to increase the visibility of the LGBTIQ community and its allies to promote a welcoming environment of openness and acceptance for all. Our mission statement is, "To celebrate the diversity represented in the student body and to provide a comfortable and welcoming environment for students of all sexualities and gender expressions at the UNC School of Dentistry." School of Social Work - LGBTQ Caucus
The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Caucus serves to promote a better understanding of issues related to sexual orientation relevant to the community in general and to social workers in particular. It seeks to identify available resources and to be a resource for students and faculty.
LGBTQ Health Disparities Research Collaborative
The objective of the LGBTQ Health Disparities Research Collaborative is to provide graduate students and faculty members at UNC-Chapel Hill with a space to engage in critical conversations related to issues of LGBTQ health. In particular, we bring individuals together to share ongoing research, network, and collaborate on research, practice, and advocacy efforts here at UNC-Chapel Hill. In line with the NIH 2016-2020 Sexual and Gender Minority Health Strategic Plan, our efforts aim to 1) strengthen the community of scholars to promote innovative, multidisciplinary research on population-level LGBTQ outcomes, 2) provide solutions to current barriers in conducting LGBTQ health research, and 3) expand the current knowledge base on sexual and gender minority health and well-being.

QGAPS is a collaborative program sponsored by the LGBTQ Center and The Graduate School Office of Diversity and Student Success. Together we provide opportunities and resources for our LGBTQIA+ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer,Intersex, and Asexual)-identified graduate and professional students to aid in their academic success and to build community. Graduate & Professional Student Federation (GPSF)
The Graduate and Professional Student Federation (GPSF) is the arm of student government that represents all UNC-Chapel Hill graduate and professional students. GPSF’s Diversity Advocate(s) address issues and needs of diverse student populations. This includes but is not limited to minority populations. This position works with the Graduate School Director.
