The Student Health Action Coalition is a free medical clinic that operates on the 3rd Wednesday of every month from 6pm-9pm. SHAC is located at Carrboro Community Health Center, 301 Lloyd St., Carrboro, NC 27510. SHACÂ’s supervising providers are faculty members at UNC who have years of clinical experience with gender-affirming care. The following services are provided: prescriptions for hormone therapy, general primary care needs, letters of support for surgery, and access to other resources or referrals within SHAC and the community. Currently, SHAC only sees patients who are 18 years or older but can provide referrals.
