LGBTQ Center Ambassadors

Do you love meeting new people? Are you interested in helping to raise campus awareness of LGBTQ identities and communities? If so, you might be a great fit for the LGBTQ Center Ambassadors program.

As an ambassador, you will serve as one of the faces of the LGBTQ Center. Your duties might include meeting and greeting people at the Floating Center, talking to student in the Pit on bi/ace/intersex/etc visibility days, speaking on a panel, and/or helping out at Center events such as Triangle Resource Fair.

If you are interested, please drop by the first LGBTQ Center Ambassadors meeting on Wednesday, August 30th from 5-6pm. If you are not able to be there (we know there are a ton of things going on), email April Callis for more info at ascallis@email.unc.edu.

LGBTQ Programming Committee

Do you have ideas or suggestions about LGBTQ Center programming? Do you love working behind the scenes, helping to plan events? If so, you might be a great fit for the LGBTQ Programming Committee

The Programming Committee will meet on the first and third Wednesday of every month from 5-6pm. Individuals on the committee will brainstorm with Center staff to come up with awareness strategies and social events around visibility days. You’ll also be tasked with helping to design promotional and educational material.

If you are interested, please come to the first Programming Committee meeting on Wednesday, September 6th from 5-6pm. If you are interested in helping with programming, but are unable to make the meetings, please email April Callis at ascallis@email.unc.edu.
