Safe Zone

The Safe Zone program is designed to create a network of visible allies to people who identify as part of the LGBTQIA+ campus community. The trainings provide information and resources related to sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender expression.

The foundational trainings (Safe Zone: Standard Curriculum and Safe Zone: Inclusive Health Care Curriculum) last three to four hours and are designed to introduce concepts, terminology, and resources related to sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender expression.

Safe Zone: Inclusive Health Care Curriculum includes LGBTQIA+ health disparities, health resources, and common health professional scenarios. Though intended to address concerns particular to Health Care professionals, it is open to all campus and community members.
